Standish Hall in September 1971. It was the ancestral home of the lords of the manor of Standish. The original hall was partially demolished in 1921 and made into two homes. The old chapel and tudor wing were bought and shipped to America. It passed through several owners until the National Coal Board bought it and was eventually demolished altogether in the early 1980s.
