REWIND: events at the Three Sisters race track and nature reserve in the '90s and noughties

Once unslightly Coal Board land, the area around a trio of slag heaps called Three Sisters was given new life as the mining industry declined, becoming a nature reserve, park and recreation ground.

Here we dip into the Wigan Today archives for pictures from the race track, lake and other attractions in the 1990s and early 2000s.
