Meet Jamie and Ted the adorable sheep who can’t get enough of cuddling with their guardian - who they think is their mum.
The one-year old Herdwick sheep Jamie and Ted live in the Lake District under the watchful eye of loving guardian Lucie Graham, 26.
The woolly duo came into Lucie’s care when they were just a few weeks old after she adopted them to save them from going to slaughter.
Lucie hand reared the sheep bottle feeding as babies and has cuddled and kissed them every single day.
The sheep view Lucie as their mum have never known anything other than love.
Lucie said: “We’re not a farm or a sanctuary. I’m just a girl who loves animals and rescued some sheep that would eventually go to slaughter.
“Initially I had Jamie and her twin sister Justina and I was only supposed to look after them for two weeks but the moment they arrived I fell totally in love with them and knew I couldn’t give them back.
''Unfortunately Justina suddenly got sick at 6 weeks old and passed away.
“Because sheep are sociable animals and shouldn’t be on their own, a friend kindly brought us a lamb from a close by farm and that’s how we got Ted.”
“Both Jamie and Ted would have been well looked after in their previous homes but the end result was always going to be the same.
''They would eventually go to slaughter. I never intended to have sheep and it has been the most stressful year of my life, but also the best and I don’t know what I would do without them.
“I love all the videos because they are all taken in the moment. None of my videos are ever planned and that way you know the moment is real.
“Jamie is a queen. She can be quite sassy, she gets whatever she wants and I literally worship the ground she walks on.
''She follows me everywhere and demands more scratches if I stop stroking her.
''She will also head but any other animal that thinks they’re getting a stroke when she is having her cuddles and scratches.
“Ted is quite reserved most of the time and likes to do his own thing but is very cuddly and affectionate when he wants to be but it’s on his terms. He’s very relaxed. He’s also very playful, especially with the young male llamas and alpacas that we share a field with.
“I would like people to watch my videos and see that these animals are really no different to a cat or a dog and deserve a full and happy life as much as you or I. They are friends, not food.
“I hope that people who see my videos make the connection of animal to plate and think twice about buying meat and choose the plant based option instead.“
