Appeal after attempted burglary

POLICE have issued an appeal to trace a man in connection with an attempted burglary.

CCTV footage of a man wanted in connection with attempted distraction burglary

At 9am on February 15, a man knocked on the door at Travellers Rest, in Newton Road, Lowton, and told the cleaner than his wife had lost a bracelet and he wanted to look for it.

As the staff member was distracted another man snuck in through the back door and searched the pub.

Nothing was taken.

A spokesman for Greater Manchester Police said they were surveying CCTV. Both men were wearing dark clothes and dark gloves.
