Body found in hunt for missing Wigan borough teen

No official identification has been made but it is understood that officers are working on the possibility that the remains are those of 15-year-old Jack Parker from Tyldesley who went missing on Tuesday afternoon.

There are believed to be no suspicious circumstances surrounding the tragedy.

The teenager had last been seen about 2.30pm on Tuesday on Bodmin Road, Tyldesley.

Police, who said they were becoming increasingly concerned for Jack's welfare, issued a description and appeal for public help in tracing him.
