Body found in search for missing Wigan man

Police officers investigating the disappearance of a Wigan man have sadly found a body.

Matthew Dutton, 22, had not been seen since leaving the Oak Tree pub in Belle Green Lane, Ince, around 10pm on Sunday evening, August 23.

Friends and family members had launched a large search party with the support of Greater Manchester Police.

But the force has today confirmed that, tragically, they have found a body.

Matthew's family have been informed, but formal identification has not yet taken place.
