Car overturns after hitting parked vehicle
THE driver of a car, which overturned after colliding with a parked vehicle, has escaped without any serious injuries.
Police were called to Penny Lane in Haydock at 7.15am today (Monday) after the Volkswagen Polo was driving along the road before crashing into the other car.
Dramatic pictures show how it landed on its roof, with the driver taken to hospital as a precaution.
A Merseyside police spokesman said that he escaped with minor injuries and the road was sealed off for two hours while the car was recovered.
