Charity's cat adoption plea

Wigan RSPCA is currently looking for the right people to adopt these lovely cats currently in its care.

Saffi is a beautiful black-and-white female cat who is around one year old and still extremely playful.

Oscar came to the charity as a stray from an RSPCA animal hospital. He is friendly and likes to roll over to have his tummy tickled. Misty ended up with the RSPCA as his owner could no longer keep him. He is probably best suited to a home without young children.

Craig was found living rough but is extremely friendly. Edward is older and looking for an experienced cat owner. He can get a bit grumpy about being brushed, but is otherwise a friendly cat although not suitable for families with young children.

All the cats are healthy, vaccinated, microchipped, neutered and ready to go to their new homes, with Wigan RSPCA asking for a £60 fee to cover boarding and treatment costs while in its care.

Wigan RSPCA is also appealing to owners to get their cats neutered and spayed due to the high number of unwanted kittens and cats already being cared for by animal charities. The charity is warning that cats can come into season as young as four months and are ready to breed and produce litters.

Wiganers with a WN postcode living on means-tested benefits can get low-cost vet’s appointments at the Paws Centre clinic which runs on Tuesdays and Thursdays between 10am and 1pm.
