Concert for Carly's annivesary return
Carly Fairhurst would have been 30 this month had her domestic abuser of a boyfriend not fatally attacked her when she was just 19 years old.
And as the Hindley teen’s parents anxiously await news of a parole hearing that could see her killer, Darren Pilkington, released from prison, they have organised another Concert for Carly.

Trevor and Sheila Fairhurst benefitted greatly from these counsellors which at the time were threatened with the axe after the withdrawal of key funding.
They say the inspiration for the Concert for Carly came from Princes Wills and Harry’s organising a charity event at London’s Hyde Park in memory of their mother Princess Diana.
There hasn’t been a Carly concert for four years but the couple were determined to have one to coincide with what should have been her 30th.

Local singer Chloe Pownall, a live band and the comedy balloon dancers The Cunning Stunts are all in the line-up.
There will be a raffle and an auction, prizes for the latter include holidays and a helicopter flight.
And Waitrose, for whom Trevor works as a lorry driver, are providing the catering, including their French chef Fabien Chotard and his six staff.
The doors open at 7.30pm and admission if £10.
