All evidence heard in US trial of woman accused of killing Wigan holidaymaker

The courtroom in Mineola, Long Island, heard a week’s worth of evidence in the trial, with the arguments and testimonies being wrapped up on Friday.

Acting State Supreme Court Justice Robert Bogle, who is presiding over the case, will announce his verdict in the week of August 10.

Police authorities at the time of 61-year-old Denise’s death said she went to Doomchin’s home in Great Neck, Long Island, with a male host while in the USA to go to a concert.

However, she was stabbed with a kitchen knife and died in hospital.

The defence said 68-year-old retired legal secretary Doomchin was not guilty of second-degree murder due to suffering severe mental illness at the time.

The trial was partly conducted over Skype.
