Beer bottles and balloons left at shrine for Wigan teen who will be 'missed by many'

Shocked and grieving friends and relatives have left tributes at a bridge on the new A49 link road in Poolstock for 18-year-old Samson Price.

The rugby player's body was found on Sunday afternoon in water at Westwood Flash, sparking a murder investgation.

Among the tributes left for Samson were messages saying he was "loved by everyone" and would be "missed by many".

There were also photographs of him and a T-shirt among the items placed in his memory.

There has been an outpouring of grief since Samson's death, with more than £4,000 donated to an appeal set up to help pay for a funeralEmergency services found the Wigan and Leigh College student's body on Sunday after being called to reports of concern for the welfare of a man.

Detectives are continuing to question three men, aged 17, 18 and 19, who were arrested on suspicion of his murder.
