Borough driver caught driving without a licence or insurance

A driver is facing court action after police discovered they had been driving without a licence or insurance.

The motorist was stopped and spoken to by officers who had spotted some "dodgy driving" on Queensway in Leigh.

Officers were told that the driver was making a trip to the shop but they found out they had no licence or insurance.

The black Fiat was seized and driver reported to court for offences.

In a post on their Facebook, GMP Leigh, Atherton and Hindley, said: "#SEIZED | #TransportUnit officers spotted vehicle Queensway in Leigh. Driver stopped and spoken to after some dodgy driving to say the least. Found to be nipping to the shop...though driving without a licence or insurance. Vehicle seized and driver reported to court for offences."
