A man who played an indecent video of a child to a workmate has been given a community order.

Aghahowa Evbuomwan, of Severn Street, Leigh, had already pleaded guilty to showing the 30-second film of a youngster being abused on his mobile to a work colleague and distributing it.

The matter was sent to a Bolton judge who was told the 47-year-old Italian national was working as a driver for XPO Logistics in Leigh when the offence took place and the shocked colleague immediately reported it to a manager who in turn called police.

Evbuomwan was given an 18-month community order comprising eight days of rehabilitation activities and 60 hours’ unpaid work. He was also put on the Sex Offenders’ Register for five years.
