Two men robbed a 16-year-old of his bike on a Wigan housing estate.

Police said the thugs jumped from a silver Ford Focus before snatching a specialised "Stunt Jumper" from the teenager.

The incident happened in an area just off Preston Road, Standish, at about 8pm on Wednesday (April 28).

Officers are now appealing for anyone with information to come forward.

A spokesman for the Wigan West district of Greater Manchester Police (GMP) said: "On Wednesday, April 28 at around 8pm in Standish in an estate just off Preston Road, two males jumped from a Silver Ford Focus and robbed a 16 year old of the bike in the picture, a Specialized "Stunt Jumper".

"We are appealing for any sightings of this bike since, and if anyone is offered the bike for loan or sale to come forward.

"Some very good leads are currently being investigated.
