A car was seized after a "significant quantity" of Class A drugs were found.

Police patrols came across the vehicle acting suspiciously in Leigh on Thursday morning (April 29).

Officers searched the vehicle and discovered the drugs.

A spokesman for Greater Manchester Police's (GMP) Leigh, Atherton and Hindley district said: "Whilst carrying out proactive patrols this morning, Leigh NBOs have come across this vehicle acting suspiciously.

"They have searched the vehicle, finding and seizing a significant quantity of what is suspected Class A drugs. The car was also seized as used in crime.

"If you have any information about drug use and supply in your area, please report this via Crimestoppers, 101, or GMP's online reporting facility."
