Discharge for abusive Wigan man

A man has admitted stealing newspapers and acting aggressively.

John Beck, 44, of Wesley Street, Pemberton, appeared before Wigan and Leigh justices to plead guilty to using threatening or abusive words or behaviour and to taking the £3 worth of newspapers from Claytons News on April 21.

He was given a 12-month conditional discharge and ordered to pay £25 in compensation.
