Dayne Howarth, 22, of Highcrest Grove, Tyldesley, stood in the dock at Wigan and Leigh Magistrates’ Court to plead guilty to driving under the influence of drugs, not having the proper documents and obstructing a police officer in his line of duty.

The bench heard that all the offences involved a Ford Transit van which was halted by officers on Highcrest Grove on February 9 last year. Subsequent blood tests yielded illegal levels of the banned substances.
