Eight charged over 2015 shooting at Ashton car wash

Eight men have been charged in connection with two shootings in Salford and Wigan in 2015.

John Kent, 53, of Culverwell Drive, Salford has been charged with conspiracy to murder and conspiracy to pervert the course of justice.  

Jacob Harrison, 25, of Sumberland House, Salford has been charged with conspiracy to murder.

These charges follow the shooting of a 28-year-old man at a car wash on Bolton Road in Ashton in Makerfield on Monday 30 March 2015. 

Both men have been remanded in custody. They will appear at court on Thursday 28 June. 

Christopher Hall, 48, of HMP Manchester, Aldaire Warmington, 31, of HMP Hollesley Bay and John Thomasson, 49, of Wakefield Crescent, Stockport, have been charged with conspiracy to murder and conspiracy to pervert the course of justice. 

Dominic Walton, 26, of HMP Long Lartin, James Coward, 22, of HMP Risley and Lincoln Warmington, 31, of Summerville Road, Salford have been charged with conspiracy to pervert the course of justice.

These charges follow the shooting of a 30-year-old Jayne Hickey and seven-year-old Christian Hickey on the doorstep of their home in Salford on Monday 12 October 2015. 

These six men have been remanded in custody. The men will appear at Manchester and Salford Magistrates’ court on Thursday 28 June 2018.
