Dowie Hughes, 39, of Primrose House, Ashton-in-Makerfield, had denied sexually assaulting his victim on the night of October 20 last year but he was found guilty after a trial at Wigan and Leigh Magistrates’ Court.

At the sentencing hearing, the bench told him the offence was aggravated by the fact that Hughes was on licence from prison and that the woman was working in a professional capacity at the time.

The charge stated that the victim was over 16 and did not consent to the sexual touching, nor could Hughes have reasonably believed she was consenting.
