Horses have had hair cut from their manes and tails in a bizarre incident at a Wigan farm.

Police said the animals were targeted at Jameson Farm in Golborne Road, Ashton.

During the incident, a quantity of hair was cut from the mane and tail of different horses that were in the farmers field.

This is thought to have happened between June 6 and June 11.
