Investigation launched after armed robbers burst into Wigan house at night

Police were called to Woodhouse Lane in Springfield just before 11.30pm on Saturday to a report of a disturbance.

A spokesman said: "Officers attended and following enquiries it is believed three men had entered the property wielding weapons before stealing a bike and fleeing.

"Three men, who were all inside the property at the time, sustained minor injuries during the disturbance and were all taken to hospital. They have all since been discharged.

"No arrests have been made and enquiries are ongoing."

Anyone with information about the incident is asked to call police on 101 quoting incident 4060 of October 31.
