Jake Morris, 27, of Henry Street, Leigh, appeared before a Bolton judge having already admitted to Wigan justices that he had the 9ins blade on Prescott Street, Leigh, on November 20. As this was a licence breach, he was given a new eight-month custodial sentence. The weapon was forfeited.
