Shaun Hughes, 41, of Richmond Drive, Leigh, appeared before Wigan magistrates to plead guilty to being at the wheel of an HGV in the Heath Charnock area of Chorley on March 31 and a Ford KA on Queensway in Leigh on July 12.

He also pleaded guilty to not being insured to drive on both of those occasions. The bench gave him a total of eight weeks in prison but suspended the term for 18 months.
