Andrew Hilton, 23, of no fixed address, stood before Wigan justices to admit assaulting PC Powell and interfering with a Nissan Note with the intention of stealing it on September 15. He was ordered to carry out 200 hours’ unpaid work and take part in 10 days of rehab activities.
