A man who stole cleaning products and alcohol worth £99.90 from an Iceland store has been jailed for 12 weeks.

Christopher Holden, 32, of Siddow Common, Leigh, admitted the offence when he appeared before Wigan magistrates.

He was jailed for a further two weeks for admitting breaching supervision requirements after a prison sentence by not attending appointments.

Shannon Burton, 25, who lives at a separate address on Siddow Common, also pleaded guilty to stealing the items from Iceland in Leigh on July 18.

She was remanded on bail so a report could be prepared ahead of sentencing on August 27.
