Man jailed for attacking his mum

Liam Deeney, 26, of Chapel Street, Leigh, was told by Wigan justices he was going to prison for 14 weeks as it was a domestic assault which had had a “lasting effect” on mum Deborah Deeney and because of his criminal record. He admitted the July 31 assault and also to failing to answer bail after being arrested.

He also has £128 to pay to victim services and £620 to fork out in court costs.
