Man suffers 'serious injuries' after Hindley stabbing

A man in his 30s has suffered serious injuries after a stabbing in Hindley.

The victim, 36, was taken to hospital following the incident on Riding Close, Hindley, this morning (February 13).

Police have arrested a 23-year-old man on suspicion of section 18 assault.

A police spokesman said: "Police were called at around 6.40am on Saturday, February 13 to a report of a stabbing inside a property on Riding Close, Hindley.

"A 36-year-old man was taken to hospital with serious injuries.

"A 23-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of section 18 assault."
