Manhunt after man stabbed in Wigan

Hide AdPolice and paramedics arrived but he was then airlifted to hospital by the North West air ambulance which landed on nearby Alexandra Park as concerned locals looked on.
Officers are appealing for witnesses to the attack, which was reported at 5.30pm, or anyone with any other information about the circumstances, to get in touch.
No arrests have so far been made, a spokeswoman for Greater Manchester Police saying that the inquiry was at a very early stage.
