DCI Gareth Willis from Lancashire’s Force Major Investigation Team (FMIT) said: “We are in the very early stages of our enquiries and we are working on tracing the man’s family so we can inform them. My thoughts remain with them at this incredibly sad and difficult time.

“I am asking anyone who knows anything at all about this incident to speak to us. They can call 101 and quote incident reference 149 of today (March 28th).”
