Police and paramedics at primary school after reports of man being assaulted

Police officers and paramedics went to St George's Primary School in Tyldesley at around 5.15pm on Wednesday.

One witness reported seeing six police cars and four ambulances at the site on Darlington Street.

An investigation into what happened has been launched and officers have started making door-to-door inquiries in the area.

Anyone with information is asked to call police on 101 or Crimestoppers, anonymously, on 0800 555 111.
