A man was kicked in the side and the young yobs disgustingly spat in a mum's face.

The attack happened after a group of youths were asked by the father of a young baby to be careful as they had knocked the child's pram.

The situation quickly escalated into a verbal argument with the family being threatened by the gang.

The father then had a bottle thrown at him and when he fell to the floor they booted him, also spitting in the face of the baby's mother.

BTP officers say the boys in the picture could have information that will help their investigation into the incident, which happened on Tuesday May 29 between 5.45pm and 6.10pm.

Anyone with information is asked to contact the BTP by calling 0800 40 50 40 or texting 61016, with reference 523 of 29 May. Alternatively residents can call Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
