Police have been given more time to question a man arrested on suspicion of rape in Wigan.
The 53-year-old was detained by police on Saturday night and remains in custody for questioning.

It follows the discovery of a woman in her 20s in a distressed state in Wigan town centre shortly after 12.30am on Saturday.
Police inquiries revealed she had been walking on Wallgate some time between 11.30pm and 12.30am when she was followed by a man into a car park.
The woman was taken to hospital and is being supported by specially trained police officers.
Detectives investigating the incident are continuing to appeal for witnesses.
