Police find drugs, cash and knives in raid on property

A man was arrested after police discovered drugs, knives and a large amount of money when they raided a property.

Officers from Leigh neighbourhood policing team, along with members of the district tasking team, executed a drugs warrant on Railway Road in Leigh on Friday morning.

A spokesman said: "A search of the address led to a quantity of what is believed to be class A and class B drugs being seized. Additionally, a large quantity of cash was recovered along with various paraphernalia and knives.

"An adult male was arrested at the address on suspicion of possession with intent to supply class A and class B drugs and also for money laundering. Whilst at custody he was further arrested for a breach of court order.

"An investigation regarding the drugs and money are ongoing and he will be attending magistrates court in the morning for the breach."
