On Facebook, Greater Manchester Police's Wigan West team said: "A female was arrested at 03:15 outside the Brocket Arms Hotel, Wigan on suspicion of theft from motor vehicle. She was in possession of multiple items all of which we believe have been stolen from cars in the vicinity.

"One pair of boots have already been returned to an owner on Stirling Road, however the items in the images still have no owner. The areas we think the items have been stolen from are Holme Terrace, Heeley Street, Stirling Street and Alfred Street, however there is a chance they could be further afield in the area of the Brocket Arms Hotel.

"If you have any information on who these items may belong to, please make us aware via direct message. Alternatively, you can call us on 0161 856 7124 or send us an email at [email protected]."
