Police have issued a warning after car doors and a house door were tried.
Officers were made aware of a man trying car doors off Garton Drive in Lowton and surrounding areas in the early hours of Thursday (April 8).
The man was seen on several cameras trying various car doors and on at least one occasion trying the front door handle of an address.
A spokesman for Greater Manchester Police's (GMP) Leigh, Atherton and Hindley district said: "Please ensure that your vehicles and property are locked and all valuables are out of sight.
"Thankfully he was unsuccessful and didn`t manage to get into any vehicles and left empty handed.
"Please stay vigilant and stay safe.
"Don`t forget if you need to contact us 999 in emergencies, 101 for non emergencies and also online via the GMP website (which is the quickest for non emergencies)".
