A motorist has been fined and barred from the road for three months after admitting driving while disqualified and not being insured.

But a charge that William Mullock, 34, of Windleshaw Street, Ince, had an offensive weapon - namely an axe - in his Vauxhall Astra on New Miles Lane, Shevington, on January 23 was dismissed by Wigan justices. Mullock has £419 to pay to the court and a victim services.
