A judge will sentence a serial Wigan thief for shoplifting offences as well as dangerous driving

A prolific Wigan shoplifter is in custody awaiting sentence after pleading guilty to numerous crimes
Multiple shop thefts, handling stolen goods and a dangerous driving charge have been admitted by a Wigan 44-year-old.
Martin Hulme, of Scot Lane in Newtown, appeared at Wigan and Leigh Magistrates' Court to plead guilty to stealing a Peugeot on September 30 and then driving it dangerously in a cul-de-sac off Moor Road.
On that day he also stole five pairs of black gloves and a multitube from Evans Cycles worth £113, razors and perfumes from Boots worth £224 and handled stolen food and drink from Aldi and Tesco plus another £80 worth of groceries.
Hulme further confessed to stealing £103 worth of gift sets from Boots on October 5, £50 worth of meat from M&S on October 8 and electrical equipment and scents from TK Maxx on October 12.
As these three crimes had been committed after a condition of his bail for the other offences was not to enter Robin Park, he also admitted those breaches.
He was remanded into custody until sentence is handed down by a Liverpool Crown Court judge on November 12.
