The Liverpool 17-year-old, who cannot be identified appeared before the borough youth court to admit to the two charges of causing actual bodily harm against a male and a female, the former of which had a racial motive. She also admitted to making threats to kill the female victim, one being with the aim of intimidating the witness.

She was given a 20-month detention and training order, the bench observing that she had shown no remorse for her offences and that she had an “extensive record” for violence.

The court also said it was taking into account the impact and injuries on the victims when sentencing and that she had shown scant regard for non-custodial orders in the past.
