Teenager charged after car stolen at knifepoint during cemetery visit

A teenager has been charged with stealing a car at knifepoint from someone visiting a Wigan cemetery.

The incident occurred while the victim was visiting Lower Ince cemetery on the afternoon of Friday August 21. The vehicle was later found abandoned.

A 17-year-old boy - who cannot be named for legal reasons - has been charged with:

- One count of robbery

He appeared at Manchester and Salford Youth Court on Monday 24 August and has been remanded in custody until a further appearance on Wednesday 2 September 2020.

At around 1.45pm on Friday 21 August 2020, police were called to a report of a knifepoint robbery on Westwood Lane, Wigan.
