Uninsured drink-driver had cocaine on him

A man caught drink-driving was found with cocaine and wasn’t licensed or insured to be at the wheel, Wigan justices heard.

Aaron Whitworth, 30, of Bond Street, Leigh, pleaded guilty to having 52 microgrammes of alcohol in 100ml of breath when officers stopped his Seat Leon on Wigan Road, Leigh, on February 20, that he didn’t have the correct documents and also had a quantity of the class A drug.

He was banned from driving for 12 months and a fine, victim services surcharge and court costs mean he has £612 to pay.
