A Wigan couple will go on trial next year after denying they neglected a boy
A July 2027 trial date at Liverpool Crown Court has been scheduled for a Wigan couple in their 30s who deny neglecting a boy four years ago
The Ince pair, who we are not naming to protect the youngster's identity, appeared before borough justices charged with assaulting, ill-treating, neglecting or abandoning a named boy to cause unnecessary suffering or injury before September 11 2022.
The case has now been sent to Liverpool Crown Court where the man, aged 32, and woman, 34, entered not guilty pleas and were granted unconditional bail until a mention hearing on January 8.
A trial has been scheduled for July 5 next year.
