Wigan duo will spend Christmas in custody

Two people have been remanded in custody after being accused of robbery.

Jade Belshaw, 31, of Warrington Lane, Scholes, and Dean Braham, 35, of Woodhouse Lane, Beech Hill, appeared before Wigan justices charged with mugging Anthony Farrell for cash and keys worth £110 on November 28.

Due to the seriousness of the offence, magistrates immediately ruled the cases be sent to Bolton Crown Court where they will make a first appearance on January 11. Meanwhile Belshaw and Braham, who have yet to plead, will spend Christmas and new year behind bars.
