Wigan knifeman spared jail

A man who admits going armed with a knife in public has been spared immediate jail time.

Ameen Kochly, 38, of Farr Close, Worsley Mesnes, had the weapon in Ashbourne Road last May 25. Justices gave him four months in prison but suspended it for a year and ordered he complete 20 days’ rehab activities and 115 hours’ unpaid work.
