A drink-driver found at the wheel of a car he wasn’t insured or licensed to drive has been banned from the road for 16 months by Wigan magistrates.

Ian Riley, 38, of Twist Lane, Leigh, admitted he had 51 microgrammes of alcohol in 100ml of breath when officers stopped an Audi Q7 on Boundary Street, Leigh, on Christmas Eve. The legal limit is 25.
