A Wigan man has been accused of child sex crimes and having indecent images of children.

Steven Flynn, 28, of Albion Drive, Aspull, appeared before justices facing 10 charges including the possession of “child porn” falling into all three categories of seriousness between January 2017 and April 2018.

He is also accused of sexually abusing two boys under the age of 13, one by intentionally engaging in sexual activity in the presence of a child and the other of inciting a boy to engage in non-penetrative sexual activity. Flynn is further charged with trying to arrange or facilitate an act which would have involved in sexual activity with a child, and having a disguised knife on May 18 2018.

He has yet to plead and, because of the seriousness of the case, the bench committed it to Bolton Crown Court. He was bailed until he appears before a judge on February 24.
