Wigan man denies drink-driving while banned

A Wigan man has denied drink-driving while banned from the road.

James Ward, 41, of Nottingham Place, Whelley, is charged with driving a Jaguar XJ on his home street when disqualified, that he was not insured to be at the wheel and that he gave a reading of 56 microgrammes of alcohol in 100ml of breath when the legal limit is 35.

He has pleaded not guilty to all three charges and he was released on conditional bail until he reappears before Wigan magistrates on February 9.
