Wigan man denies two assaults and criminal damage

The case of a man accused of two attacks has been delayed until November.

Tony Gingell, 39, of Meadow Street, Wigan, stood before borough justices to deny assaulting Kristian Hilton and Nathan Cooper on December 21.

He has now also been charged with threatening Mr Cooper in June and causing £200 damage to a gate at Wigan’s Mercure Hotel.

The bench bailed him on condition that he does not approach the complainants nor enter St George’s community services centre.

He returns to court on November 16 to plead on the two more recent charges.
