Wigan man denies witness intimidation

A man has denied witness intimidation. Joseph Melling, 24, of School Avenue, Whelley, stood before Wigan justices to plead not guilty to making threatening comments to Carl Fairhurst knowing he was to testify in legal proceedings. The case was sent to Bolton Crown Court where Melling will first appear on December 16.
