Wigan man must pay compensation after admitting he attacked a woman
A man who admits attacking a woman has been ordered to pay her compensation and complete community punishments.

Francis Leigh, 50, of Railway Road, Leigh, pleaded guilty to assaulting Julie Payne by beating on June 1 when he appeared before Wigan justices.
He must take part in 10 days of rehabilitation activities, be under a night time curfew until November 2 and he must also pay Ms Payne £150 compensation plus £95 towards victim services and £85 in court costs.
