Wigan man pleads guilty to attacking a police officer

A Wigan man has appeared in court to plead guilty to attacking a police officer.

Michael Price, 22, of Belvedere Place, Worsley Mesnes, appeared before Wigan magistrates to plead guilty to attacking a PC Meadows while carrying out his duties on January 19.

Price was given a community order comprising 30 days of rehabilitation activities and 120 hours of unpaid work. Compensation to the officer plus payments to the court and victim services mean he also has £195 to pay.
